Age is not a barrier to beauty – this wonderful 18-year-old Welsh Section D named Bugsy was a real gentleman and his beauty shone through at this lovely session on the edge of the South Downs a few weeks ago.
We couldn’t have asked for more perfect winter weather. Looking in one direction we had sunshine and blue sky, and in the other, a low mist hung below the north-facing escarpment of the Downs. This mist provided a stunning setting for images for the girls Nicole and Carla that share this lovely old pony.
Welsh Section D’s are the largest of the Welsh pony breeds and are popular adult riding and driving ponies. They have the courage, strength and stamina for a variety of disciplines alongside the renowned beauty of the Welsh breeding.
I have a few more native pony sessions booked so keep an eye out for more beautiful ponies in coming months.
