Native Project Goals for 2020

This is the time of year when Pony Portrait has the lowest nunber of bookings as people always assume that images will be better when the sun is shining, and although that is not necessarily the case, most people want their photographs taken when their ponies are looking their best! Rather than worry about paid portrait sessions at this time I will instead concentrate on completing my native sessions. I did really well this time last year, and you can see from my Native page that I have a good selection of images for some of our native breeds.

This year, I am looking to fill the gaps. That means I want to photograph more Welsh ponies, particularly Section As, Bs and Cs. I am also looking for Dales ponies and I would love to find an Eriskay pony but that will probably have to wait until I next go to Scotland!

This is Bugsy, a lovely example of a Welsh Section D that I photographed in 2019.

A memorable day at Knepp Estate in Hampshire provided this image of an Exmoor stallion

I hope to see Onyx, the Fell colt again this year when the weather improves so I can get some better photographs of him when he is less muddy and hopefully a little easier to handle!

Please get in touch if you are in East Sussex and have a registered native breed pony that you would like me to photograph.
